Sara Bradley

Owner, Head Instructor and Trainer

Sara Bradley is one of a small handful of people in Maine who currently trains and competes at the FEI (International) level.

A serious rider since the mid 80's Sara's main focus for the past 20 years has been dressage training and competition. She has an impressive show record on a Regional and National level, and has had great success on many different horses. She has placed Regionally at every almost level Training Thru Intermediare 1, and was ranked 5th Nationally in 2007 in the Intermediare 1 Freestyle. She has also earned her USDF Bronze and Silver medals on horses that she brought up thru the levels of competition.

She has brought several horses through the levels, and, in 2016, brought another horse to FEI when Champion Of Hearts made his PSG debut.

Sara has been in training almost exclusively for the past 15 years with Susanne Hamilton, who is a USDF Gold medalist, FEI competitor and "R" rated dressage judge. Sara firmly believes that in order to give meaningful instruction one must receive excellent instruction on a regular basis. Sara credits Susanne for helping her to become a quality trainer and top notch instructor.

Over the years Sara has also had the pleasure to work with some of the best trainers in the industry,Shannon Dueck, Michael Poulin, Kathy Connely and Jane Savoie.

Sara enjoys teaching riders of all ages and abilities as well as training horses from training to the FEI levels. In addition to working with "traditionally" bred dressage mounts, Sara specializes in the training of sport ponies.

Angie Craib-Couture

Assistant Instructor

Angie has been a long time student and Employee of WEC.

She has successfully competed in dressage thru second level as well as lower level hunters, giving her an excellent background of experience.

A NAHRA certified instructor Angie spent many years teaching therapeutic riding before joining the WEC team in 2007.

Angie is a full time Kindergarten teacher and uses her classroom expertise when planning her lesson program for our younger students.

Angie is a gifted instructor who the children love to ride with and we are very pleased to have her on our team at WEC.

Jennie Buskin

Jennie has been an assistant at WEC since 2007, when she graduated from our Working Student program.

Jennie graduated from Colby College in 2013 with a degree in Math and works locally in the school system as an Ed Tech, specializing in the younger student.

Jennie currently works at WEC as part time stable assistant.

Jennie has years of experience running her own small barn so horse care is something she is very comfortable with, and her attention to detail certainly meets the high standards that we have at WEC. She has ridden competitively for years, active in 4-H as a youth rider, riding on the Colby College event team and is currently enjoying riding a variety of horses, and improving her mid level dressage skills!

Casey Cossar

Youth & Camp Instructor, Expert Stable Assistant

Casey has been riding at WEC since 2007, and has enjoyed competitive success Regionally for the past 5 years.

She has qualified for Region 8 Championships multiple times, and placed 6th at 1st level in 2016. She is regularly one of the top juniors in her classes at recognized shows in our region.

Since Casey has been with us for so long, she is extremely capable in all departments of horse care.

She assists in many of our beginner level lessons, and actively supervises the youngsters in our Junior Apprentice Program.

Because Casey is also of small stature, and is extremely capable, she assists in the riding of some of our training ponies, and she keeps the school horses fresh and ready to go.

Casey graduated High School in 2016, and has since been pursuing a RN degree at The University Of Southern Maine. While at school, she has remained dedicated to her riding, and plans a competitive year at 2nd level in 2017.

We are happy to welcome her back once again, for the 2017 Camp season!
